Students living in residence voiced their displeasure over the possibility of mice in Frontenac House and cloudy tap water in Lennox and Addington House at a Jan. 22 Rideau River Residence Association council meeting.

Chris Cline, Carleton’s media relations co-ordinator, acknowledged the claim of cloudy water in Lennox and Addington.

“We have received reports of cloudy water in the Lennox and Addington residence building,” Cline said in an email. “The building’s water was deemed safe for consumption when it was tested in the fall of 2011. We are inquiring into the necessity of further testing.”

The mice in Frontenac are believed to be on the second and third floors, but Cline didn’t confirm their existence. He said the university responds as quickly as they can until the issue has been dealt with. Cline also urged students to properly store food and to clean cooking areas.
