A leaky roof in Minto Centre Jan. 24 caused classes to be relocated on Jan. 27 and 28, according to Darryl Boyce, assistant vice-president (facilities management and planning).

A Reddit post captioned “Raining in Minto 2000 today…” showed an image of water falling down into the room Jan. 24.

Boyce said a frozen coil caused the leak. He said there was damage to drywall and carpet, but it is not severe.

“The cost will be figured once they are able to clean up the mess left by the leak,” he said.

Boyce said the problem has been fixed and students were able to return to class in Minto 2000 by the evening of Jan. 28.
