Artist David Fels’ anticipated new sculpture was unveiled Oct. 16 at the International Summit on Accessibility hosted by Carleton and the City of Ottawa at the Ottawa Convention Centre.

The sculpture, ‘Inclusivity,’ was presented by Lieutenant Governor of Ontario David Onley at the summit, which aims to highlight the importance of accessible amenities for disabled people in all aspects of life.

Fels is known for his innovative work with sculpting.

A 300-year-old oak tree is the basis for his recent sculptures.

His artwork can be seen on Carleton’s campus, as another sculpture of his, titled ‘Sailing Through Time’, is on display on the first floor of the River Building.
