California university bake sale deemed ‘racist’
A bake sale at the University of California at Berkeley meant to raise awareness of discrimination has raised eyebrows for being racist, according to Maclean’s magazine.
The university’s Republican student group hosted an “increase diversity bake sale,” selling baked goods at varying prices depending on the customer’s race and gender, Maclean’s reported.
