Carleton University students gathered in the residence quad for a Jack Harlow lookalike competition on Nov. 28.

The contest saw 11 challengers for the crown of the one, true Jack Harlow lookalike. The event came amid a rise of lookalike competitions on social media, sparking from a popular Timothée Chalamet lookalike contest in New York in October.

Lookalikes were called up in pairs to stand before the audience.

The crowd cheered for their favourite lookalike out of the two, and the competitor with the most cheers moved to the next round. Three lookalikes made it to the final.

Sebastien Landry, a second-year industrial design student, was crowned Carleton’s Jack Harlow lookalike with raucous applause and cheers.

Following his overwhelming victory, organizers awarded Landry with a plastic tiara and a box of prizes, including LEGO and ranch dressing.

After Landry opened his prize, all the participants posed for photos. The enthusiastic crowd then approached to snap selfies with the participants, as the lookalike trend on Carleton’s campus came to a close.
