New Leadership won the Rideau River Residence Association (RRRA) election Feb. 13 with 387 votes, according to chief electoral officer Adrienne MacDonald.
The RRRA executive-elect is Will Verschuren as president, Graham Pedregosa as vice-president (administration), and Arpita Dar as vice-president (programming).
Better Together followed with 348 votes and Equity with 97 votes, she said. A total of 832 ballots were cast.
Verschuren said he is happy with the results.
“It’s very humbling,” Verschuren said. “The other teams put up . . . very good campaigns.”
Current RRRA president Will Cathcart formally congratulated the incoming executive after the results were released.
“I know they’ll do a great job working for students,” he said.
