Harrison Boyd and Christina Muehlberger were elected on March 13 to fill the undergraduate and graduate spots respectively on Carleton’s senior corporate body, the Board of Governors.
Undergraduates cast 1,125 ballots, with 536 in Boyd’s favour, while graduates cast 84 for Muehlberger out of a total of 112.
The two students will serve a term July 2014 to June 2015 alongside two other student representatives, one each from the undergraduate and graduate student unions.
Runners-up in the undergraduate race were Christian Robillard with 290 votes, Rana Nazzal with 191 votes, Ian Gillies with 84 votes, Ryan Husk with 16 votes, and Alibek Sergaliyev with 8 votes.
The graduate race was contested by only one other, Julie Davis, who received 28 votes.
57 per cent of total voters turned out on the first day of voting, March 10, with the two following voting days receiving an equal share of the remainder. There was only one vote cast March 13.
Voting took place online through Carleton Central.
