Charlatan Publications Inc. will be hiring section editors for the 2021-2022 publishing year. The positions available are editor-in-chief (1), news editors (2), national editor (1), features editor (1), opinion/editorial editor (1), arts editor (1), sports editor (1), photo editor (1). We will also be electing staff representatives (2) to the Board of Directors at this time.
To apply, you must submit a cover letter, resumé, and a position paper. Examples of position papers can be acquired by contacting the editor-in-chief, editor@charlatan.ca, or any present staff.
In order to be eligible to run, with the exception of the features editor (in which you only need to have contributed once), candidates must have contributed at least four (4) times to the section to which they are applying to. Each article written, photo taken, or page copy edited will be counted as one (1) contribution.
Candidates will be contacted personally about scheduling speeches (conducted over Zoom).
Eligible voters and the sections they may vote for will be posted prior to speech dates.
