I am a second-year political science student running for the position of public affairs councillor. I have been involved on campus in several different ways, such as volunteering with the Student Philanthropic Council and the Paul Menton Centre. I was also a frosh facilitator this past Orientation Week. I will once again be part of the 2016 Fall Orientation week.

I hope to be more involved on campus as I continue with my undergraduate degree. One of the main points of my platform is to work with students, faculty, and CUSA to improve accessibility of resources to students. I would also like to help increase the amount of events we have on campus to bring together different departments within the faculty. Carleton offers many resources to students, but the information is often lost or forgotten. I would like to plan a week devoted to the faculty in which the events allow students to explore different resources available.

My second platform is to implement solutions for a greener campus. Issues regarding the environment are one of my passions, and I believe that collectively the Carleton community can set an example for many other institutions. I hope to implement more composting and recycling stations around the campus. I would also like to see more signs further clarifying the items that can and cannot be recycled, as it can get confusing. My last point of my platform is to increase accessibility for students with disabilities through more funding through CDAC or providing more services similar to attendant services.
