1) Why are you running for CUSA?
I’m running for CUSA because having been involved with the association both as an employee and as a councillor, I know how disconnected a lot of students are from their own representatives. I love how diverse our campus is, and I genuinely want to be a part of building a more transparent, accountable, and inclusive CUSA that mends the current disconnect.

2) What do you think makes you a good candidate?
I think I’m a good candidate because my passion for what I do shows through in all my campus involvement. I work as the programming co-ordinator for the Gender and Sexuality Resource Centre, I’m a CUSA Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences councillor, I’m a director for the Carleton Student Philanthropy Council, and I’m one of the Carleton Academic Student Government’s FASS co-ordinators. I work hard because I believe in what I’m working for.

3) What are two things you hope to achieve if elected?
I hope to make CUSA more accountable to the students it serves. I want to do that through increased social media engagement, transparent hiring processes with standardized metrics, and consistent communication with the student body. I also want to prepare students for life after graduation with skill-based programming that helps bridge the gap between what we learn and what we hope to do in the world.

4) What’s one fun fact about yourself?
I named my cat after a Harry Potter character.
