Isabel Harder is a second-year journalism and law student from London, Ont. (not the cool London, but she’s been there). She worked as the Charlatan’s arts editor in the 2020-21 school year and is excited to take on 2021-22 as the op/ed editor. She is also the Journalism Society of Carleton (JSOC) vice-president (academic).

When she is not editing, Isabel is rewatching “Gilmore Girls” for the fifth time, baking her way through Claire Saffitz’s cookbook, Dessert Person, or working on her throwing technique at her local pottery studio.

One day, she hopes to report on the justice system, or practice media law, or have jury duty. She would like to wear a pantsuit in a courthouse and feel like Hillary Clinton or Ruth Bader Ginsburg, her style icons.
