The school’s services are ‘Gold Status,’  but do students agree? The Charlatan‘s reporters investigate for December’s print issue—all about mental health and wellness.

Carleton recently became the first-ever post-secondary institution to be awarded a Gold Level certification for Mental Health at Work during an Excellence Canada Summit held Nov. 5.

Carleton’s mental health framework, training for faculty and staff, and the Not Myself Today campaign are all listed as reasons the university earned Gold Status, according to the university’s website.

Although the award shows Carleton is a mental health-conscious school on paper, it is important to also include Carleton stakeholders’ and students’ voices in the discussion of mental health at the university.

For our December print issue, our reporters break down different aspects of Carleton’s mental health initiatives to find out whether students feel this Gold Status is deserved.
