The Charlatan (TC): What made you decide to come to Carleton and play soccer for the Ravens?

Megan Sequeira (MS): I loved the campus and the atmosphere of Carleton. I decided to play for the Ravens because it was always a goal of mine to play college level soccer, and Carleton just seemed so right.

TC: What is your favourite experience so far playing soccer?

MS: My favourite experience so far playing soccer here has been just meeting all the girls on the team and getting to know all of them. They are my second family already, and it’s great to have, especially being away from home.

TC: What do you hope to accomplish while playing soccer at Carleton?

MS: My short-term goal is just to learn a lot from the experienced girls and become a stronger player mentally for my first season as a Raven.
My long-term goal is simple but true, just make a difference for the team and show why I’m here for the four years I plan to be here.

TC: What is the greatest strength in your game?

MS: The greatest strength in my game is my speed. Throughout my whole soccer career, it has always been my biggest strength so I try to always use it to my advantage.

TC: What do you plan to bring to Ravens soccer during your time at Carleton?

MS: I plan to bring my ambition and hard work to the team and to score goals.

TC: Do you have any pre-existing relationships with any of your teammates here at Carleton?

MS: Yes, Sarah Royer was a teammate of mine back on South West United Juventus in Calgary. We are great friends, and now also roommates so it’s really great to share the experience with her.

TC: What are one or two things that you currently do in your training that are keys to your success?

MS: I like to stay focused and motivated, and I put my team before anything else.
