Leila is a second-year journalism student. She was born in Montreal, Quebec, but has lived in Ottawa all her life. She first got involved with the Charlatan as a volunteer writer during her first year of journalism. She is passionate about writing and expressing ideas, so she immediately gravitated towards Op/Ed. She hopes to one day become a big-time investigative journalist.
