Jasmine is a second-year journalism student passionate about connecting with people and crafting stories that matter. While a Malaysian through and through, Jasmine came to Canada for the experience of a different media landscape and has been constantly (but pleasantly) surprised by the diversity of stories available in the country’s modest capital. With a mind that is always on the go, Jasmine finds it difficult and often unnecessary to strike a work-life balance, though she does get up to non-journalism-related pastimes like climbing, yoga and chasing waterfalls.

Jasmine has been freelancing with landscape and portrait photography for years, but is extremely excited to take on a new style of photography for the Charlatan.
