Ritual Nightclub (137 Besserer St.):
Ritual is one of Ottawa’s most diverse bars catering to every audience. Saturdays at Ritual include two separate floors with only one cover charge offering everything from hip hop, dancehall, house music, and electro-beat. “Drop It Like It’s Hot” Thursdays features a three dollar cover to spend the night dancing to music from some of Ottawa’s hottest DJs. During weekdays and specific weekends, Ritual hosts local and internationally recognized musical talents that vary from punk, ska, alternative, and hip-hop artists.

Studio Nightclub (403 Dalhousie St.):
As one of Ottawa’s newest nightclubs, Studio offers an upscale clubbing experience with two rooms of music ranging from hip hop to house. The contemporary atmosphere features lavish black & white VIP couch seating, central dance floors, and three modern style bars in the building. Dress code is in effect.

Barrymore’s Music Hall (323 Bank St.):
Barrymore’s is widely known around Ottawa for their famous 80’s nights every Sunday, featuring everything from New Kids on The Block to Madonna. It’s encouraged to come party in full 80’s style fashion and inside you’ll find club-goers wearing everything from neon tracksuits to fanny packs to celebrate this music decade. Thursdays are no exception to the fun as Barrymore’s hosts 90’s night, bringing back music from the Backstreet Boys, N’Sync, and much more. If you’re looking for a cheap night out, Thursdays are ideal as there is no cover charge with student ID.

Liquor Store Party Bar & Industry Room (130 York St.):
As one of Ottawa’s more popular spots for students, Liquor Store and Industry offer two adjoined bars with one cover charge and two completely different atmospheres.

Industry is a more sophisticated setting with suede VIP booths lining the main corridor and leather couches surrounding the back bar with a dance floor in the center.

For a more laid-back feel, you can go next door to Liquor Store, which features a large central bar, booths, and a large dance floor where you will hear the most recent hits from the resident DJs. Throughout the year, they host events such as foam parties and block parties several Saturdays a month where you pay one cover charge for access to Liquor Store, Industry, and Parliament Ultra Club which is right next door.

Patty Boland’s (101 Clarence St.):
If you are looking for a change from the typical club-scene in Ottawa then Patty Boland’s may be the perfect fit.

With an Irish pub-style atmosphere, Patty Boland’s hosts live bands playing mainly covers every Thursday to Saturday night as well as a live DJ playing top 40 hits on Wednesday nights. The main floor of the bar is a more relaxed environment making it an ideal spot to meet with friends for a drink and order Irish pub fare, while the second floor is complete with a dance floor.
