Sweet Karma: A bittersweet revenge flick
It reads like a fantasy plucked from the mind of a teenaged boy: a Playboy playmate in the role of a lingerie-wearing, revenge-seeking badass fighting back against cruel men who take advantage of women weaker than herself.
That’s the basis of Sweet Karma, a ‘70s-style rape-revenge movie by Canadian indie writer and director Andrew Thomas Hunt.

The Vancouver-based indie trio, who performed at Zaphod’s March 18 and at Elmdale Tavern March 23, began with a classified ad.
It all started when lead singer and guitarist Freddie Mojallal placed a notice on Craigslist looking for musicians, according to the band’s website. He was then joined by Patrick Jacobson on bass and Sean Lavoy on drums.
