Ndongozi, nicknamed “Pancake” by his friends, has been described by his friends, family and community members as a passionate photographer and “gentle giant.”
The 20 year old had just graduated from Collège catholique Samuel-Genest two weeks earlier and was recruited to play in Quebec’s highly-regarded Notre-Dame Division 1 football program.
Investigators from the Ottawa Police Service have yet to make any arrests in connection to the shooting. Ndongozi’s death marks the 10th homicide of the year in Ottawa.
