Looking for an easy elective? Birdcourses.com is designed to list and evaluate different electives offered at Canadian universities based on how easy they are.

The website acts as a forum, allowing anyone to anonymously post and comment their thoughts about a course, as well as rank the class on a “birdiness” level. The “birdiness” is measured on a scale of one through five, one being “average,” three being “easy,” and five being “very easy.”

However, Kevin Lass, a second-year political science student at the University of Western Ontario, said he thinks the website is poorly executed and has many flaws.

“After referring to birdcourses.com . . . I took Introduction to Geography 1100 thinking that it would be an easy elective that would raise my GPA. Never did the site inform me that the course material is in fact very dry and the exams were extremely difficult,” he said.
