BLEEP!

Hi. We’re from Newfoundland which makes us totally, totally awesome and a total minority!

We just have to say we don’t have accents, we’re not inbred, and not only we like to cook seals, we like eat them. Exactly [pause] so everyone lay off because we don’t have accents, not everyone have accents and you know what? Seal is the tastiest meat on earth with dressing, gravy and salt. [pause] You have seasoning, it’s really good. [pause] And if you want some seal, I’ll cook it for you. OK. Thanks. Bye.

Hi, Voicebox. It is 5:40 a.m. in the morning and I haven’t slept yet because I am writing two friggin’ essays, can you believe that? And then when I’m done essays I still have to do my exams, what is it? Why am I university? Why did I sign up for this?  Why don’t I decide to work at MacDonald’s and I think sometimes I’ll be happier settling for a . . .for a . . .  minimum wage job.  Anyways, I’m rambling because I’m tired. I’m going to buy some energy drinks. Good night. Bye.

Hey Voicebox, this is a little reply to the person saying that people who use the TV lounge for studying are inconsiderate. Firstly, it is actually called a TV/study lounge. Its purpose is not one of only for your pursuit but also for serious work. Secondly, considering we are here primary for the second purpose mentioned, I would say studying should take priority over TV watching. Furthermore, if they were such avid charlatan readers as they claim to be they would’ve seen the article a couple weeks ago…they mentioned we can use our rooms, I’m sorry but I for one, like to differentiate between my leisure space and work space if I mingle between the two I don’t get any work done, not only that, my room is too small so I like to study with friends or work on group projects. Lastly, they mentioned the library, How the library? where every student that despite, thousands of signs asking for no cell phone conversations, no excessive noise, no inconsiderate behaviour … just want to disobey every sign and act like jackasses. I’m sorry but I prefer studying in a quiet peaceful communal space and you know what, sometimes you gotta to share.
