Why are you running for CUSA council?
Over the course of my last three years at Carleton, I’ve gotten involved at many different levels. As the former CUSA council chair, I was inspired to run after I saw how polarized and divisive council is.
What do you think makes you a good candidate?
I have the unique experience of having chaired meetings for the last two councils so I have in-depth knowledge of the constitution, bylaws, and policies that govern CUSA. I’ve also been involved in clubs and societies and senate.
What are two things you hope to achieve if elected?
1. Revisit online elections. This would save CUSA money and help ensure that the elections are fair.
2. Contribute to making council a more civil place.
What’s one fun fact about yourself?
My proudest achievement is being names MVP of my highschool tennis team.
