McGill’s seeker just caught the snitch to snag McGill a win in the team’s quarterfinal game. The owls finally came and have been quite a hit. A group has also been running a great business selling Quidditch shirts and scarves under the name Madam Malkin’s Robes.
I never truly appreciated before I came here what a violent game Quidditch is. Just before noon, someone was tackled and broke his collarbone. I’m surprised it’s been the only serious injury today. I’ve seen five-foot-tall girls thrown to the ground by huge guys twice their size. Mercy certainly isn’t a trait held by many Quidditch players.
The field McGill just played on was green this morning. Now it looks like it was recently the victim of a rather bad hailstorm. I guess it’s a good thing the fields are so small.
