'Stronger together': How Ottawa drag artists find identity and community

Hand in hand: Students launch Black Future Lawyers Carleton chapter

Editor's Note

In today's ever-changing world, we find ourselves repeatedly confronted with adversity. We're then faced with the challenging reality of how to rise above.

In this issue of The Charlatan, we celebrate the people who approach adversity not as an obstacle, but as a formative part of their journey. Despite cumbersome systemic barriers. These individuals allow adversity to shape their identities and inform their viewpoints on life.

From the stories of a Ukrainian refugee, and innovative program for black student lawyers and a new women's soccer league, I hope you find strength in the beauty of resilience and in the power of unity. Because we truly are stronger together.

Though adversity is an inevitable part of life, so too is our ability to adapt, form human connections and ultimately thrive.
