Alykhan Gillani is a first-year political science student from Edmonton, Alta., running to be a councillor for the Faculty of Public Affairs seat.
If elected, he said strengthening the Drop Fees campaign is his number-one priority.
He also said he's worried about the fixed amount of student space on campus.
“As our campus gets bigger and bigger, our student space gets smaller,” Gillani said.
He stood in as a proxy for councillor KarimKhamisa several times this year and said he believes this experience will allow him to “be a driving force” behind changes in CUSA’s programs and structure.
