The soccer regular season wraps up this week, with the marquee matchup tonight at Keith Harris Stadium, as the 10-1-3 University of Ottawa Gee-Gees women’s soccer team come in to face the 7-4-3 Carleton Ravens.

Carleton can’t catch CIS sixth-ranked Gee-Gees in the standings, but they need to stay ahead of Toronto, who are only two points behind them in the OUA East standings.

The women wrap up their season with a trip to face the 2-6-6 Ryerson Rams Saturday afternoon.

Carleton beat Ryerson 1-0 on Oct. 2.

Carleton has already wrapped up a playoff spot, with six teams from each division qualifying, but they can finish anywhere from third to fifth.

As for the men (9-2-2), they’re on the road this weekend with one last game against Ryerson. They played to a scoreless draw with the Rams at the beginning of the month.

Their playoff situation? They’re eighth in the country and will finish either first in their division, or second to Toronto (8-1-3), who are sixth in the latest CIS rankings.

Toronto plays twice against Trent this weekend, and if the Excalibur can keep Toronto from winning both then Carleton can clinch the division with a win of their own.

If Carleton ties Ryerson again and Toronto finishes with a win and a loss, they’ll be tied and we’ll have to go for tiebreakers.

Two Toronto wins, or a Toronto win and a Carleton loss, will put the Ravens in second — still good for a first-round bye.
