In this episode, you will hear from Mykyta Zakharchenko, a Ukrainian refugee who came to Canada on a CUET visa in March 2022 and attended the Parliament Hill rally on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025.
You will also hear from Mikhail Shastko, a second-year Carleton student and Carleton Ukrainian Students’ Club member, who called on both Ukrainians and non-Ukrainians to support the country in “even the smallest ways.” The club held a fundraiser event at Carleton’s Nideyinàn atrium, formerly known as the University Centre, on Feb. 14.
