The Charlatan spoke to Joe Pleckaitis about his top moment this season in a new segment about student-athletes’ favourite plays.
Joe Pleckaitis, forward, men’s hockey:
We had been beat out of our conference by McGill, so we played Lakehead to play for the wildcard spot at nationals.
During the first shift, we jumped out with a quick lead, up to 4-0 or 3-0 during the first 10 minutes of play.
It just showed how bad we wanted it. It was a pretty disappointing loss to McGill, so I think we had something to prove.
We had a tough time all season gaining a lead in the first period, and we normally came out slow, but that game we came out guns blazing, and it showed.
