Undergraduate students will vote for 31 new councillors in the upcoming Carleton University Students’ Association (CUSA) 2023 general election. Electronic ballots will be sent to students’ emails at 9 a.m. Feb. 7 and will be available until 5 p.m. Feb. 9.

Thirty-seven councillor candidates had their nominations confirmed and will be on the ballot.

Originally, 41 students had submitted their candidacy, but two dropped out and two were deemed ineligible as they did not attend the all-candidates meeting, provided no communications with the chief returning officer (CRO) and did not sign the candidate code of conduct, CRO Connor Plante said.

Candidates have submitted profiles to the CUSA elections website. Elected councillors will start their terms March 12.
