Nakishbandi’s councillor profile was provided in an emailed statement.
Masouma Nakishbandi is a second-year neuroscience and mental health student who is enthusiastic to run as CUSA’s faculty of science councillor. Masouma’s motivation comes from her desire to implement changes that will directly benefit Carleton’s Faculty of Science students.
If elected, Masouma plans on connecting science students with job opportunities to set them up for success following graduation.
Masouma also believes that it is important that science students have their voices heard on CUSA, and will actively make herself available to the students to make their requests known.
Finally, Masouma will facilitate panel discussions for students to partake in.
