A vigil was held in Ottawa, Ontario by the Asian Canadian Community Group to remember the lives lost in the Atlanta, Georgia shootings which saw the killing of 8 people, six of whom were Asian on March 16th 2021.
The event, held at Minto Park in Ottawa’s Golden Triangle neighborhood aimed at uniting against Asian hate in Canada and United States. In recent days, multiple news and advocacy groups have reported a rise in anti-Asian discrimination across Canada.
