Thousands from across Canada gathered on Parliament Hill to protest Israel’s siege on Gaza and demand the Canadian government take a firmer stance on the conflict on Nov. 25.

The National March on Ottawa Free Palestine was a joint protest organized by the Palestinian Youth Movement, the Association of Palestinian Arab Canadians, Labour for Palestine and the International League of Peoples’ Struggle in Canada.

Protesters chanted, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” and “free, free Palestine.”

Protesters marched from Parliament Hill down Wellington Street, through the ByWard Market and back to the Hill, where the march ended with prayers.
