The COVID-19 global health pandemic has swept throughout Canada and much of the world. As of March 17th, 2020, the current number of confirmed cases stands at 13 with the cases resulting from travel-related contact.

The fear which stems from COVID-19 has resulted in people self-isolating, working from home and has led to cancellations for public gatherings, and closures of restaurants and schools throughout the city–leaving Ottawa looking like a ghost town.
