Last week Climate Action Carleton along with over 30 other Canadian student groups – the Divest Canada Coalition – released an open letter to the boards and administrators of educational institutions across Canada calling on them to divest from the fossil fuel industry.
The announcement was followed by climate protests during which the letter was read and live-streamed. One such student protest occurred in front of Carleton University main entrance on September 8th. The students demanded that Carleton University step up, divest from fossil fuels, and protect the future.
