Job Description: Photo Editor
The Charlatan Photo Editor is a creative part-time position with influence in administrative aspects of our paper. The Summer Managing Editor will report to the Editor-in-Chief and have a close relationship with the editorial staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining consistent contact with volunteers and other section editors;
- Co-ordinating and photographing visuals for articles, social media and special projects;
- Attending and contributing to all staff and editorial meetings, unless excused by the Editor-in-Chief;
- Having authority over all matters pertaining to the photos section, but final authority over all editorial matters rests with the Editor-in-Chief;
- Meeting all deadlines set by the Editor-in-Chief;
- Other reasonable duties as requested by the Board of Directors or the Editor-in-Chief.

Other Important Information:
The position requires part-time work beginning in June.
Job Type:
- Part-time, approx. 10 hours every week
Salary:
- $300, paid every two weeks
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, flexible working hours
Experience:
- At least one (1) year of involvement in the Carleton community (required)
- At least one (1) year of experience in photography or photojournalism (preferred)
Location:
- Remote or Ottawa, Ont.
