Greg Guevara is a fourth-year journalism student with a minor in English and self-proclaimed art boi. Greg loves all things art—music, paintings, films, LARPing—if you can call it art you’ve got his attention. Greg started his first novel when he was seven, “Dave the Explorer” —an unholy combination of “Dora the Explorer” and “Dave the Barbarian.”
Greg is a spoken word poet, published science fiction author and actor. He’s the winner of Carleton’s 2016 literature award for spoken word poetry, ran a show in the summer called “Don’t See This Show” and was featured on Carleton’s website for his parody of Anna Kendrick’s “Cups” (it was about cups).
Greg is also an arts journalist and loves writing and talking about art and issues in art. He was the winner of The Young Journalist Podcast challenge, where he analyzed homophobia in reggae and rap. Did he mentions he likes art? He likes art. Talk to him about art.
In his free time, he runs spoken word competitions, writes choose-your-own-adventures and talks about himself in the third person. He just likes how his name sounds. Greg Guevara. Greg Guevara.
