Mark Klibanov, a third-year engineering student running for the CUSA council seat for the Faculty of Engineering and Design , said he hopes to give engineers improved representation.
“I want CUSA to have a [greater] presence in the engineering world at Carleton,” he said.
Klibanov said he understands not many engineers are interested in what CUSA can offer them. He said he confidently believes that with his past leadership positions, which include an executive position in his fraternity, Alpha Epsilon Pi (AEPI), he will be able to make CUSA more accountable to the students in his program.
“And hopefully, I can make CUSA more interesting for the engineers,” he added.
