Dreaming

Aries season for an Aries rising is like New Year's Eve on steroids. This is your gentle reminder to not get lost in the awesomeness of being you.

Aries governs your 12th house of subconscious secrets and hidden desires. If you fall in love with your TA during this time, no one would blame you!

Aries governs Gemini's 11th house of community, turning the resident Gemini chatterbox into the dictator of their tutorial group.

The power of rest: Reclaiming time for the planet, spirituality and resistance

For Donovan Martin, it started with Mondays. In high school, he committed to meatless Mondays as his personal day of rest — a weekly practice where he abstained from eating any meat products to rest from harmful consumption cycles.

PERSPECTIVE: Shaving my head wasn’t radical. Here’s why

“So, why did you shave your head again?” This was the question that followed me around last sum- mer after shaving my head on my birthday in May.

‘Like a kid again’: Sleep podcasts are bedtime companions for adults

When it’s time to say goodnight, everyone has a bedtime routine that helps them drift into slumber. For many restless sleepers, the solution is not at the bottom of a melatonin bottle — it’s in their earbuds.

Editor's Note

As students, our dreams and aspirations of today will shape the world we lead tomorrow.

In a world that moves at a relentless pace, it's easy to forget the power and unity of dreams — not just the ones that come to us in our sleep, but the ones that shape the goals, aspirations and futures we hope to build.

The Charlatan's third and final print edition of the year is inspired by dreams in many forms. As you flip through the pages, I hope you are empowered by the students who have turned their dream into action, the researchers who aim to reimagine the way we think and the collective acts of resilience which dream of a better future.

As my time at The Charlatan comes to a close, I want to thank every editor, writer and supporter who has played a role in making my dream of a successful publishing year come true.

For our graduating editors and writers, the future we've been dreaming of starts now. Let your dreams serve as perserverance and remember that no dream is too big to chase.
