Did you spend so much money on your significant other’s Valentine’s Day gift that you are too broke to buy a gift bag or card? Well lucky for you, with some recycled materials you can make your own!

Gift Bag

You’ll need a newspaper, some tape, and ribbon for the handle.

1.) Take two pages of newspaper and lay them out horizontally.
2.) Fold the paper in one inch on the right side.

4.) Shift the top layer of the now folded paper over two inches to the right. Crease on both sides.
5.) Shift the layer back to the centre and then two inches to the left. Crease on both sides.
6.) Fold the bottom of the paper up about four inches and crease.
7.) Separate the two layers of the folded bottom and make a triangle. Repeat on the other side.
8.) Fold the top of this section down to the middle fold. Repeat with the other side.
9.) Tape the bottom pieces together and then open the bag.
10.) Add a cardboard bottom and ribbon handles if you want to.
