Born in the same hometown as Phil Hartman and Wayne Gretzky, Daniel Link inherited some of the former’s sense of humour and none of the latter’s athleticism. Link was raised on a steady diet of the Beatles, Star Wars and the Muppets, along the way cultivating a taste for the written word — both fictional and journalistic in nature.
He counts Michael Chabon, Carl Sagan and Chuck Klosterman among his favourite wordsmiths and when not absorbing every slice of text in his path can be found strolling anywhere and everywhere throughout Ottawa, bobbing his head to whatever Radiohead or David Bowie tune is currently blasting from his headphones. Feel free to engage him in discussion of syntax, etymology or how cool it would be for humans to coexist with self-aware felt puppets.
