Carleton has introduced a new mobile application called Carleton Mobile, available for iPhone and Android phones.
With the app, students can log into their student accounts to view class schedules and mapped locations, view past and present grades as soon as they’re available and access campus navigation with GPS.
It also features the latest student events and news, new information about Carleton Ravens games, scores and schedules, and Carleton’s Twitter feed.
The app was created by College Mobile, a pioneer in the world of applications for higher education and enterprise business, and can integrate with almost all educational software platforms.
The CU app will continually update with more features on an ongoing basis, such as a feature that adds a personalised exam schedule with the time and location in the fall, according to the news release.
Student reaction to the app on Twitter has been mostly positive, but many have requested the app also be made for BlackBerry devices.
The application is available for download from iTunes or the Android market.
