Man is not pure in mind or soul, they simply pray to fear
The wolfsbane blooms inside all hearts, just waiting to appear
The barking laugh, The savage howl grows deep within our throats
You can try to hide behind a veil of white purity and put lipstick on a pig
Divorced from Terra, culled from nature, civilized to the extreme
You can call me a beast, a monster, a wild terror, and denounce me as an Other’s spawn
Not a lowly creature bathed in blood, but a superior entity

But with a cold sweat, you realize that you are all alone
And suddenly in that trap you are caught
For like a feral animal stuck in flight or fight, your whole life is governed by fear
Simply, surely and succulently stuck with the seeds you have sown
You furiously, fallaciously, and fervently fall into a simple adage:
You hate what you fear and you fear what you ain’t

The contradictions cage, you are caught
The animal lurks within
It struggles, strikes and strangles you
Bound and clothed in your skin

Free the savage primal terror,
From the fields of green
Unleash the wrath and lust in you
As you devour me

You don’t need to scour a savannah or deep forest
To find a primal animal deeply rooted in sin
You need only look for the glass surface of a mirror
To unleash the beast within
