A University of Ottawa student was escorted off Carleton campus after being caught streaking through residence last week, according to the department of university safety.

A residence fellow dealt with the incident, said Allan Burns, Carleton’s director of university safety, and campus safety was called after the fact.
Streaking in residence isn’t that common, he said.

“It was very unusual and it was a prank. Someone who was over here with some friends and got egged into doing it and got caught,” Burns said.

He said the University of Ottawa will handle the incident, as Carleton would handle any similar instances involving Carleton students on U of O property.

Although Burns said it was just a “prank,” he said it was “totally inappropriate and shouldn’t have happened.”
