Carleton issued an alert to students about an Ottawa Police investigation regarding a suspicious male attempting to lure teenage girls into a vehicle in the nearby area.
The alert, which linked to a police press release published Feb. 2, said the male has been luring girls in the Carleton area.
According to the press release, the police received a third-party report on Dec. 5, 2015 alleging a child luring and sexual assault incident occurred involving a 15-year-old girl. The male is described as a 40- to 50-year-old Caucasian with a slim build and short grey hair.
A second incident occurred in the area, according to the press release, which states a 13-year-old girl was targeted near Seneca Street. A man stepped out of his vehicle and offered the girl a stuffed animal, to which she declined and immediately left the area.
The second suspect in question is described as a 30- to 40-year-old Caucasian male with short dark brown hair. He was wearing a dark jacket and owned a black Chevrolet pick-up, according to the release.
Ottawa Police are urging anyone in the area with information to contact their Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit at 613-236-1222.
