Lady Ravens lose two
The Carleton Ravens women’s hockey team had a rough weekend on the road, as they suffered losses to the McGill Martlets Oct. 30 and the Université de Montréal Carabins Oct. 31.
After a disappointing 6-0 loss against McGill, the Ravens were looking for redemption on Halloween against the UdeM Carabins.
In a high-scoring thriller that saw the momentum rock back and forth throughout the game, the Ravens were unable to avenge the loss, losing 6-5 to the Carabins.
No success in the shootout
The Carleton Ravens men’s hockey team dropped their second straight game in a shootout, losing 2-1 on the road to the Queen’s Gaels Oct. 30.
The loss was the Ravens’ second in as many days, as they fell 4-3 to the University of Toronto Varsity Blues the previous night.
The Ravens started strong against the Gaels, after centre Joey Manley opened the scoring with four minutes remaining in the first period.
Ravens suffer heartbreaking defeat
The Carleton Ravens men’s soccer team saw their season come to a screeching halt Oct. 30, as they fell 3-2 to the Ryerson Rams in the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) quarterfinal.
In rainy and windy conditions at Keith Harris Stadium, the two teams met for the second time in less than two weeks, with the Ravens looking to avenge a disappointing 3-0 loss Oct. 23 in their final game of the regular season.
