Women Ravens narrowly win against U of T

The Carleton Ravens women’s basketball team started off their 2011 season strong with a convincing win over the Ryerson Rams and a nail-biting win against the University of Toronto Varsity Blues last weekend at the Ravens’ Nest.

Ringette takes fourth at University Challenge Cup

Carleton’s women’s ringette team took home a fourth-place finish in the 2011 University Challenge Cup (UCC) Jan. 2 and are gearing up for the 30th annual Beaconsfield-Kirkland Ringuette Association tournament Jan. 14, according to team founder Allison Madeley.

Women’s hockey win one and lose one

The Carleton Ravens women’s hockey team experienced a bittersweet start to the New Year by defeating the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees Jan. 8 but losing to the Université de Montréal Carabins Jan. 9.

Alumni rallying for Ravens

If varsity football returns to Carleton in 2012, the number 37 still won’t return to action. The only retired football number belongs to Tom Timlin, a member of the Ravens’ Hall of Fame class of 1997, who is part of the group trying to bring football back on the field at Carleton.
