Two defence-first teams came first in both Ontario divisions, and it was the Lakehead Thunderwolves who shut down the Carleton Ravens to win the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) title last weekend.

In the 2006-07 season, a 19-3 regular season propelled the Ravens men’s basketball team to the nationals in Halifax. Victories against the Acadia Axemen, the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees and the Brandon Bobcats led the team to a Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) national title.
