Men’s soccer team shows well at home

On a weekend where the current Carleton Ravens men’s soccer team got the opportunity to bond with alumni, today’s generation of Ravens put on an impressive performance, winning both home games Sept. 24-25.

Players had the unique opportunity to meet their predecessors and get advice from them at their alumni banquet. They followed that experience with a 3-1 win against the Nipissing Lakers Sept. 24 and a 2-0 shutout against the Laurentian Voyageurs the next day.

Ravens can’t catch Golden Gaels

The Carleton Ravens women’s hockey team lost 5-2 to the Queen’s Golden Gaels Sept. 25, ending their home exhibition tournament with a 1-3 record.  

Ravens, Lady Vees unable to capitalize

After a 3-1 win against the Nipissing Lakers Sept. 24, the Carleton Ravens women’s soccer team battled hard against the Laurentian Lady Vees Sept. 25, but ended the game in a 0-0 draw on Ravens home turf.

Third-year goalkeeper Rachel Bedek said the Ravens knew the Lady Vees would be tough opponents.

Carleton hosts first Ravens Commmunity Cup

The inaugural Ravens Community Cup charity soccer tournament took place Sept. 24 in Carleton’s Fieldhouse, hosting teams from a variety of backgrounds to raise funds for Somali Relief Ottawa and forge fresh relationships between new and established Canadians.

Two Carleton Ravens soccer games followed a competitive yet friendly morning soccer tournament of 10 teams, with the Fieldhouse divided into two fields, allowing four teams to play simultaneously.
