Men’s soccer team still on top

The Carleton Ravens men’s soccer team successfully completed their two-day away stint Oct. 1-2 with a 4-2 triumph over the Queen’s Golden Gaels followed by a 1-0 shutout against the Trent Excalibur.

With the two wins, the Ravens extend their win streak to five games and are still sitting atop the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) with 24 points.

Ravens Reborn flag football tournament a success

Despite the cold weather, the second annual Ravens Reborn flag football tournament took place Oct. 2 at Keith Harris Stadium.

Twelve full teams participated, shivering underneath toques and warm clothing to show their support for the return of varsity football to Carleton and to raise money for the East Africa Famine Relief fund.

The tournament wasn’t the only part of the day, as participants also got the chance to show off their talents in individual competitions.

Ravens trounce competition at UNB

The Carleton Ravens men’s basketball team swept all three of their games at the Eric Garland National tournament Sept. 30-Oct. 2 at the University of New Brunswick (UNB).

In the Ravens’ first exhibition games against Canadian competition this year, the team put on a dominant display, beating the Laval Rouge et Or, the UNB Varsity Reds, and the Saint Mary’s Huskies 104-48, 91-53, and 108-66 respectively.

Women’s basketball team defeat Nomades

The Carleton Ravens women’s basketball team soared past the Montmorency Nomades 80-50 Oct. 2 at the Ravens’ Nest.
