Estranged wife vouches for Diab at bail hearing
Hassan Diab, the Carleton instructor accused in connection with the bombing of a Parisian synagogue in 1980, is still waiting to hear if he will be allowed out on bail.
Diab, 55, is being held at the Ottawa-Carleton Detention Centre pending his extradition to France. He is charged with murder, attempted murder and destruction of property.
Gray goes Greek
Carleton’s newest chancellor, the Right Honourable Herb Gray, joined the ranks of the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity on March 24.
The initiation ceremony was held in Robertson Hall and the Carleton and Ottawa community was invited to commemorate the occasion.
The fraternity said they asked Carleton’s chancellor to join as they believed it would be an incredible opportunity for them.
Gray did not hesitate to accept the invite.
