Sunshine List Released
The Ontario Ministry of Finance released what they call the “sunshine list” of public employees earning over $100,000 per calendar year, a list that includes six Carleton employees.
At the top of the list for Carleton is former president Samy Mahmoud who made $341,435.72 for th year of 2008, followed by vice-president finance and administration Duncan Watt, faculty members Uma and Vinod Kumar, provost and vice-president academic Feridun Hamdullahpur, and Carleton Dean John Osborne.
Dr. George Iwama becomes new president
It is not only students who will be saying farewell to the Carleton campus this summer with fond memories, but also Dr. George Iwama, the dean of science, who will be leaving the university to become the new president of the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) July 1.
